Ingredients
 

  • 250 grms or 2.5 cup mawa - khoya
  • 100 grms or ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • Garnish with pista slits

Instructions

  • In a heavy bottom pan, add sugar and water.
  • Mix well and on medium flame cook sugar syrup until it reaches 2-string consistency.
  • Add mawa and cardamom powder. Mix well on low flame.
  • When peda mixture leaves the sides of the pan then switch off the gas
  • Allow to cool down the mixture and smooth peda mixture.
  • Now take some mixture in hand and make a round shape peda from it.
  • Garnish peda with pistachio slits and serve.

Notes

  • Sugar syrup should have 2 string consistency.
  • Do not overcook peda mixture otherwise peda become chewy.
