- In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of batter. 
- Then add chopped onion, tomatoes, green chilli, ginger paste, red chilli flakes and ajwain. 
- Now in a pan, add oil, mustard seed, cumin seeds and some curry leaves. sauté and add tadka into batter. 
- Add baking soda and some lemon juice. Mix well. 
- In a pan, spread some oil and sprinkle some white sesame seeds on it. 
- Then add batter and spread it evenly. 
- Cover and cook 
- cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes or until the base gets cooked well. 
- now flip over and cook base for 3-4 minutes. 
- Enjoy besan suji chilla with tomato ketchup.
