Do try this!

The key to making tasty murmura stuffed idli at home are;

  • Firstly, I made the batter with basic combination of murmura and rava to prepare the soft idli’s. this is an ideal combination but you can experiment with idli rava, millets, and broken wheat as alternatives to upma rava.
  • I prepared masala with potatoes and regular spices. You can add different veggies of your choice to make them healthier.
  • I have added eno fruit salt to hasten the fermentation process. eno can be the ideal choice, but not the only option. you may also use baking soda for the same effect and softness.
  • Lastly, I have prepared these idlis in cups without an idli steamer and stand but you can also prepare it in an idli stand and steamer
