Lila lasan nu kachu | how to make lasan nu kachu | green garlic with mashed potatoes

Ingredients
 

  • 150 grm green garlic
  • 2 green chilli
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 tbsp white part of garlic
  • 1 cup chopped green part of garlic
  • 1 cup mashed potatoes
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • ¼ tsp garam masala
  • 4 tbsp malai + 4 tbsp milk

Serving

  • Oil
  • Chopped green garlic

Instructions

  • First, take out the white part of the garlic and keep it aside, and finely chopped the green part of the garlic.
  • Now crushed green chilli, white part garlic, and ginger into a fine paste.
  • In a mixing bowl, add the finely chopped green part of garlic, green chili-ginger- garlic paste, and oil. Mix well.
  • Then add mashed potatoes, salt, coriander powder, and garam masala. mix well.
  • Now add the malai+milk mixture and mix everything for 2-3 minutes.
  • Take out lasan nu kachu in a mixing bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Add ½ tsp of oil and sprinkle some chopped green garlic.
  • Serve lila lasan nu kachu with paratha or roti.

Notes

  • use only the green part of green garlic.
  • quantity of mashed potatoes and the green part of garlic should be equal.
  • mash the green part of the garlic with oil, so it will become soft and decrease its raw flavor.
  • mix malai and milk mixture in kachu for 2-3 minutes for making its smooth and creamy texture.
